ITCS 201: Object-Oriented Programming I: (2-2-3) This course introduces the fundamental concepts of object-oriented programming (such as Object, Class, Message, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Modularity, Classification, Generalization/ Specialization, Aggregation and Association) and the basics of Java (including the Java language constructs and semantics, Exception Handling, and Input/Output Facilities). Students will be taught how to write programmes using the object-oriented programming paradigm in Java. (Prerequisite ITCS 121)
