ITCS 311: Software Engineering Methods: (3-0-3) This course imparts knowledge and skills necessary for the design of object-oriented software systems in terms of design concepts and methods (specifically the notation, models, strategies and processes for design and design documents using a recognised object-oriented method). Emphasis is placed on use of a Use-Case-driven method that is built on the Unified Modelling Language (UML). Students can expect to learn how to both read and write well-formed designs that employ UML. (Prerequisite: ITCS 221)
