MAGT 531: Economics & Management Discussions: (3-0-3) This course explores how, on the macroeconomic level, business environment affects the formulation and implementation of business strategy through the case study approach covering various topics (monetary and fiscal policy, national debt, business cycles, theories of consumption and investment behaviour). Students discuss a variety of management issues such as optimization between short term and long term assts, constraints on raising of capital, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy and restructuring.
