PHTH 104: Electrotherapy Theory: (3-0-3) The principles of electrotherapy modalities are discussed in this course including definition and contents of electrical power, flow, measurement, electron theory and principle, energy generation, emission, transmission and radiation. Building on these concepts, the course teaches the physiological effects and inter-action of the electro and other sources of energy of different human body tissues. The means to deliver different electrotherapy modalities are included with their indication, effects and contra-indications. (Prerequisite PHTH 101)
