PHTH 201: Orthopedic Physiotherapy: (2-2-3) The principles of physiotherapy for musculo-skeletal diseases and injuries are taught. Joints and bone diseases are presented in systematic approach followed by physiotherapy assessment, indications and contra-indications of physiotherapy treatment. Pre and post-operative physiotherapy procedures are discussed for orthopedic surgical cases. Practical training in assessment techniques, gait training, muscle testing and lower extremities orthotics is included. (Prerequisite PHTH 103)
