PHTH 202: Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy: (2-2-3) The principles of physiotherapy for cardio-pulmonary diseases are taught. Respiratory and heart diseases are presented in systematic approach followed by assessment, indications and contra-indications of physiotherapy treatment. Pre and post-operative physiotherapy procedures are discussed for cardio-pulmonary surgical cases. Practical training in assessment techniques, postural drainage, Intensive Care Unit, COPD rehabilitation and post-operative heart rehab are included. (Prerequisite PHTH 104)
