PHTH 404: Research Methodology I: (3-0-3) This is part one of a two parts course in the theory and practice of research in medical sciences. This course includes introduction into the scientific inquiry, types of research, common statistical techniques, double blind trials, cohort type studies, pre-post testing methodology and other topics in research. The students will start planning their graduation research during this course where by the end of this course the student must have completed the selection and approval of the research topic and pilot work. (Prerequisite STAT 201)
