AHLIA EXPOSITIONS

LOOK OUT FOR AHLIA UNIVERSITY PRESENCE AT THE UNIVERSITY EXPO TO BE HELD AT THE GULF HOTEL FROM MAY 26-27, 2004.

Students and Faculty of Ahlia University cordially invite all prospective undergraduate and graduate students to discuss their academic interests with staff and current students and to learn more about the exciting educational opportunities that Ahlia University offers.

AHLIA UNIVERSITY STAND AT BOOK FAIR EXPO IN BAHRAIN

During the period March 17-26, Ahlia University participated in the 11th Annual Book Fair held in the Exhibition Center in Bahrain.

The exposition afforded Ahlia University the opportunity to discuss with prospective university students the range of Ahlia University’s academic programmes available to them. Ahlia’s currently offers 13 programmed in two colleges and in two centers including two Masters’ programmes. In addition, commencing September 2004, Ahlia will be initiating a PhD programme in which doctoral students will earn a Brunel University doctorate locally in Bahrain and a 14th undergraduate programme in Interior Design.

Presiding over the Ahlia University stand at the exposition, Ms. Ahlam and Ms. Eman, Ahlia’s admin stalwarts, teamed up together in this off-campus milieu to tout the merits of this emerging academic powerhouse in the Gulf to would-be enrollees. Numerous current Ahlia University students assisted them in this endeavor. President of the University, Professor Abdullah A-Hawaj also made a cameo appearance.

AHLIA UNIVERSITY IN KUWAIT

Endeavoring to propagate the superior quality of Ahlia’s undergraduate and graduate programmes to prospective students in Bahrain’s northern neighbor Kuwait, Professor Khawaj, President of Ahlia University, tasked Ms. Ahlam and Ms. Eman to represent Ahlia University in the Kuwait Educare Exposition held in Hall#8 of the Kuwait International Fairs Ground Mishraf in Kuwait City from April 11-15, 2004. Ahlia University Graduate student Basil Almojalhem, a Kuwaiti national who commutes to Ahlia every day he has class, volunteered his services and helped render the Ahlia stand an unqualified success. Several Kuwaiti undergraduate students applied on the spot for admission and many more took applications pledging to apply for undergraduate admissions at the earliest. Several prospective graduate students also indicated interest in admission to the Ahlia University MBA programme.
